We at CSI know how important supporting the community in a sustainable, tangible way is. That’s why, when we stumbled upon Maui Ku’ia Estate’s Instagram page, we knew we had to write about them!
Since the Lahaina-based farm’s first cacao plantings in the winter of 2013, they’ve been creating more than just award-winning and sustainably-produced chocolate. With experiences such as a bean-to-bar chocolate factory tour, or live music on Pau Hana Fridays, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy! Best of all and most surprisingly, Ku’ia donates ALL net profits to non-profit organizations across the island, funneling their earnings straight back to the community. How’s that for keeping it pono?
